Australian Made
What the Australian Made Certification Actually Means
The Australian Made, Australian Grown logo isn’t self-declared. It’s a registered certification trademark administered by Australian Made Campaign Limited (AMCL) — an independent, not-for-profit body that verifies every claim before a licence is granted.
To carry the logo, a product must have undergone its last substantial transformation in Australia and meet criteria that are equivalent to, or stricter than, the Australian Consumer Law.
That means when you see it on a Railsafe product, it’s been independently verified — not taken at face value.
One of Seven. That's It.
Across the entire Australian balustrading industry, only seven manufacturers hold this certification.
In a sector where imported product is common and compliance documentation is frequently vague, that number matters. It means the vast majority of balustrade suppliers in Australia cannot make this claim — regardless of what their marketing says.
Railsafe is one of the seven. Every product we manufacture is designed, processed and substantially transformed right here in Australia, to Australian standards.
What It Means for Builders, Specifiers and Developers
For tender documentation
The Australian Made certification is independently verified and legally recognised. It can be cited directly in tender submissions and project documentation as evidence of product origin and quality standard — no chasing paperwork, no ambiguity.
For compliance
For specifiers
What You Can Expect From a Railsafe Product
Australian Made isn’t just about origin. It reflects how the product is built.
Every Railsafe balustrade and handrail system is manufactured locally, which means tighter quality control at every stage, faster lead times on custom work, and direct access to the team responsible for what’s been built. If something needs to change, there’s no factory on the other side of the world to deal with.
It also means your products are built to Australian conditions — our climate, our building codes, our compliance requirements — by people who work within them every day.
A Certification the Industry Recognises
For commercial projects where client-facing documentation, procurement policies or ESG requirements include locally-made product commitments, the certification provides clear, verifiable evidence. It’s not a logo. It’s a position.
